How to Live Better & Longer

By Stephania

March is National Nutrition Month and this should be a time we all reflect on our health. The top three causes of death in America are cancer, heart disease and stroke but fortunately these can all be prevented by adopting healthier lifestyles.

You can start living a healthy lifestyle by targeting four aspects for your life

  • Diet
  • Exercise
  • Stress
  • Work

Incorporate superfoods like beans, berries, greens, fish and nuts in your meals and benefit from  their essential nutrients.

Exercise regularly to achieve and maintain a healthy weight and avoid developing high blood pressure, heart disease or type 2 diabetes. It takes 7 hours of cardio exercise to lose one pound of fat.

Being able to maintain your stress at a healthy level isn’t as easy as eating healthier foods. Too little or too much stress can be an emotional burden and physical danger. Make sure to relieve stress by meditating, talking and writing your feelings.

Set SMART goals at work and challenge yourself to grow in your career.

Once you find a balance between all four you’ll be able to live a long and happy life.
